 | Missionary Training Center (lodging)
The Missionary Training Center was built in part by members of the current River
Ministry Team. It stands next to the Iglesia Gilgal parsonage and serves as a school
for missionaries to Latin America. On our trips, the Missionary Training Center
offers a home, comfortable beds, and hot showers.

 | Iglesia Bautista Gilgal (prenatal clinic and mission church)
This mission church is one of the locations of the monthly prenatal clinics, children's
activities, and a nutrition center. Dr. Juarez is the pastor and makes us feel
welcome every Sunday morning.
Currently, Iglesia Gilgal houses a nutrition center that provides a hot meal for school
children during the week. Each meal includes a prayer and a Bible story. The
children and their parents return to fill the pews on Sunday mornings

 | Casa Hogar Bautista (orphanage)
Casa Hogar servers as a home to orphans and children who have been removed from their
homes due to domestic violence and other unfortunate situations. The children range
in ages from toddlers to teenagers and vary in number between 25 and 40. There is
one full time staff member (Dora) and a couple of part time volunteers. As you can
imagine, they often lack the energy to accomplish much that is not absolutely
necessary.

 | Periodista (nutrition center and mission church)
The nutrition center is being relocated from Gilgal to Periodista. This
particular area was populated by squatters on government right-away land surrounding a
rail road track. The houses are constructed from what-ever materials are at hand
and have been recently provided with power and water. One of the current projects is
the installation of the neighborhood's first flush toilets at the nutrition center.
Once the nutrition center is ready, it will also become the site of monthly clinics.
